Interest in the latest conservatory roofing system from Ultraframe – the Orangery – continues to grow. The Orangery system combines beautiful aesthetics that are sure to appeal to the discerning tastes of any property owner.

The Orangery, although a conservatory roofing system, bridges the gap between a traditional conservatory and an extension – providing Ultraframe customers with an unusual and striking solution for their home.

Ultraframe customers have previously been able to benefit from an Orangery using the Classic roofing system, but this method requires fabrication work that can be time consuming, costly and requires a great deal of skill.

The new Orangery systemises the installation of a traditional atrium style conservatory. The stunning result floods the adjoining rooms with light and the interior height of the Orangery crates a spectacular feeling of grandeur.

Ultraframe Comments on the Success of its Orangery System

Ultraframe’s Marketing Manager said: “The Orangery system has received a great amount of interest since its launch and we have recently revamped the literature available to support the system, catering for both our trade customers and homeowners.”

A stunning retail brochure is also available, featuring high quality print effects and beautiful imagery to convey the quality and elegance of the product to the discerning homeowner and is available for use by Ultraframe installers.

Classic or Contemporary: A Choice of Orangeries

Whether you want an orangery that’s looks modern, or want a more traditional style to suit the classic appearance of your home, you’ll be able to find exactly what you need when you explore our Classic and Contemporary styles in more depth

Contemporary Orangery

To recognise the benefits of our Contemporary orangery, you need to understand the Ultrasky lantern. This stunning product – which can be incorporated into the design of an existing flat roof – is characterised by strong ridges that preclude the need for reliance on multiple bars. This means your orangery will benefit from a roof lantern that uses more glass, thereby inducting lots of natural light into the space below.

The Ultrasky lantern is, therefore, suitable for a range of applications. You’ll be able to turn your orangery into a living space that can work equally well as a kitchen, bedroom, living room or bathroom. To further enhance the modern effect created by your new Ultrasky lantern, you can add bi-folding or sliding doors to your new room – resulting in a light and airy space that’s fully connected to the outside.

Your Contemporary Orangery Will Be High-Performing

Your brand new orangery will stay warm all year round, thanks to the inclusion of beautiful super insulated columns that will give your room a touch of grandeur and improve thermal efficiency within the structure.

This doesn’t mean that you’ll have to compromise on light; the large glazed areas in the windows and doors will transform your orangery into a light and airy space that feels connected the outside at all times of the year.

The inclusion of a perimeter ceiling – which can be installed in sizes of up to 1.2m – will imbue your orangery with a cosy feel that means you’ll be able to use it for a variety of purposes, including a dining room or study.

You will also benefit from:

  • a choice of flat cornices that can be supplied in formats of up to 3 tiers and which will add a touch of style to your fascia;
  • a choice of bespoke colours that will allow you to tailor your orangery so suit the schemes used within your home;
  • the ability to integrate corner heaters and speakers into the pelmet.

Classic Orangery

As with the contemporary orangery, you’ll benefit from a high-performing roof.  You’ll be presented with two options: a classic PVC or Quantal Aluminium design. Whichever one you choose, your glazed roof – when combined with traditional brick piers and stunning cornicing – will turn your orangery into a stunning frontispiece.

A range of different formats will be available to you when planning your orangery with your approved Ultraframe installer. From lean-tos– which are suitable for one-storey properties – through to Edwardian and Victorian designs, you’ll be able to find a look that suits the architectural layout and appearance of your property.

The inside of your orangery will be warm and comfortable, thanks to the internally plastered dwarf walls and perimeter pelmet that will help make your new room thermally efficient. Our high-performing Conservaglass – which blocks out 60% of solar rays - will keep your orangery the perfect temperature, whatever the weather.
