June 2008 saw an all time high for the number of consumers registering for the Ultraframe Certificate of Authenticity – a 20% increase on the previous highest figure. The certificate provides discerning homeowners with proof and peace of mind that their conservatory does feature the market leading Ultraframe roofing system

All too often the conservatory and window installation industry is regarded with suspicion due to the unfortunate actions of a minority of installation companies. Bad workmanship, high pressure selling and poor service, combined with some retailers who "pass off" inferior products as Ultraframe’s, have tarnished the image of our industry.

Ultraframe, as the market-leading manufacturer of conservatory roofs, is continually working to ensure consumers have peace of mind when choosing a roof system and installation company. Currently if a homeowner contacts Ultraframe because they have a problem with what they believe is their Ultraframe roof, on inspection we all too often have to confirm to them that an inferior system has been fitted.

A "Homeowner Pack" is included with each roof going out from Ultraframe and installers are encouraged to pass this pack to the consumer on completion of the conservatory. The homeowner will then be required to complete the registration card and send this freepost to Ultraframe's consumer care centre. After verification, they will then receive their Certificate of Authenticity, proving that their roof is a market leading Ultraframe product, along with a copy of the Ultraframe Conservatory Maintenance Guide.

Mark Hanson, Marketing Manager at Ultraframe, commented: “The Certificate of Authenticity has been a great hit ever since its launch in 2005. However, the recent sharp upturn in the number of registrations shows that installers of Ultraframe systems are using our value added tools more than ever during these tough times to close sales. The Certificate of Authenticity provides extra peace of mind at a time when confidence is low and consumers are seeking reassurance about any high ticket spending. We believe that the success of this initiative will continue to grow and urge all installers to pass this registration document onto their customers."
