This spectacular traditional property in a conservation area in Leicestershire contrasts beautifully against the stunning contemporary Ultrasky Orangery which was installed for the Doolan family by Lifestyle Windows, via main contractor Michael Fleming.

The family explained their desire for a style which incorporated as much glass as possible, while still maintaining the security of the Orangery, and after working with Michael on various design options, they settled on this stunning contemporary Orangery design, featuring an Ultrasky roof, Super-Insulated Columns and a 3-tier Cornice.

Explaining more about the project, Mr Doolan said: “We had recently landscaped our garden and wanted to be able to enjoy looking at it all year round, while also creating a connection between our home and outdoor space. We wanted a style and system that allowed us to maximise the amount of glass, while still maintaining the security of the structure, and the Ultrasky system, coupled with the enhancements that we chose, provided the perfect solution. We absolutely love our new living space and spend more time here as family than any other room in the house! We received excellent service from Michael and Lifestyle Windows, both pre, during and after our installation and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them - or Ultraframe - to anyone else looking to enhance their home with a conservatory, Orangery or extension.”

The large 5m x 4m Orangery was completed in the hugely popular 7016 anthracite grey and includes an Ultraspan integrated goalpost to support the two large triple-track doors. Michael Fleming and the Doolan family chose Ultraframe (and installation partner Lifestyle Windows) due to the pedigree of the Ultraframe brand – something that was hugely important to complement such a beautiful property and add a sense of contemporary grandeur – as well as the ability of the Ultrasky/Ultraspan system to span large doors.

The Super-Insulating Columns not only provide stunningly unique aesthetics, they are also five times more thermally efficient than brick columns of the same size – ensuring that the new Orangery is a comfortable space to relax in, whatever the weather. Finally, the 3-tier flat Cornice provides the perfect contemporary finishing touch.

Chris Vincent of Lifestyle Windows shared his thoughts about the installation: “The Doolan family’s contemporary Orangery has been a fantastic project to work on. The end result is truly stunning and we’re very pleased that the family is enjoying their new living space. This project was a great example of teamwork – we worked closely with Michael Fleming, our Ultraframe fabricator and the Ultraframe Technical Team – and the end result is testament to the hard work and attention to detail of everyone involved.”
