Mr & Mrs Buckland have lived in their property for many years and had a conservatory extension 15 years ago, which was installed by High Tech Windows in Gloucestershire.  The couple loved the space but only really used it from late Spring through to early Autumn, they could manage the heat in the summer but the cold in the winter made the space very expensive to heat. Delighted with the service they had previously received from High Tech they revisited the retailer in 2014 hoping that they could find a solution to give them 365 days a year living space.

One of the challenges of the Buckland’s conservatory roof design is the complexity of the shape.  At one end the roof is effectively a lean-to with a very shallow pitch of 6.1 degrees, yet at the 'P' end it has a much more traditional pitch of 16 degrees, add to that the box gutter at the back of the roof and the cut outs for the exterior wall of the property, the only solution available in the market to deal with that level of complexity is Livinroof.

“We’d never really done a huge amount of research into replacement roofs we just know we didn’t like the ones with tiles that are meant to look real – but when Eric at High Tech showed us some video case studies of Livinroof we were immediately sold – it’s a brilliant system and has actually transformed that way we use the space.  It feels like we’ve got a brand new extension – we love it.  In actual fact we invited Eric round just before Christmas to prove to him just how warm the space actually is.”
