We have had a very positive experience using Realistic Home Improvements to replace an old conservatory. From Ryan's initial quotation and planning visit, to the work of the installation team, plasterer and electrician we found everyone to be professional and helpful. Any queries and questions were quickly answered by the office team. The site for our conservatory was far from straightforward and Ryan and the installation team found ways around all the difficulties. I would have no hesitation in using this company again.

After exploring a new conservatory and receiving a number of quotes Ryan at Realistic Home Improvements Limited was the company that understood exactly what we wanted. We wanted something different that wouldn't just look like a re-furb and we certainly achieved a real transformation . Once you have the plan and vision it made the whole experience really enjoyable. Investing in your home shouldn't just be about being sensible it should be about realising how you will use the space to enhance how you live and for us the new conservatory has completely transformed a space that was cold and noisy when it rained to a stunning part of our home that delivers more that we ever thought . So plan , vision- big tick , installation by the team was superb . Led by Chris you would seldom find a harder working team , punctual hard working and not afraid of all the British weather threw at them! We went from a white plastic tatty conservatory to a warm solid structure with what we think is the real WOW factor . We use the room far more than we ever did and am really looking forward to enjoying the seasons not worried about too warm - too cold . The photos bring to life the changes but the peace of mind knowing we have improved the energy efficiency is also so important as you get older .

Over the past couple of years we commissioned Realistic Home Improvements to install first, new external doors and then windows in our home. The advice given in choosing suitable doors combined with the complete absence of “hard sell” and a reasonable price for high quality units convinced us to use Realistic to install windows a year later. On both occasions the quoted price for the job was not the lowest but it most certainly wasn’t the most expensive and it represented the best value for money. Ryan managed our expectations very well explaining costs and timings of each installation as well as the expected performance and limitations of the final product. Given that both jobs were completed during a pandemic, in awful weather, on time, to budget and to a high standard is to the credit of the staff at Realistic who clearly take great pride in their work. The benefits of using directly employed fitting staff rather than contractors was also well-demonstrated. Post-installation support has been excellent. There have not been many problems but the odd snag we have encountered has been dealt quickly and efficiently. An excellent experience from start to finish - highly recommended. Thank you.

Absolutely delighted with our orangery style conservatory which, after market research and a quote from a national brand, we found to be very competitively priced; the quality and style of the finished product has added a real wow factor to our property. Family and friends all agree the outcome is stunning. Ryan visited on several occasions and listened to our detailed requirements before offering several options all with a detailed pricing breakdown. We were constrained (our choice) by the footprint of our original ‘white gold’ product which included an end wall (see photo). After several tweaks, non of which was too much trouble, we were able to agree on our bespoke design which focussed on maximum light and included the largest sliding door and roof glass combination realistic had fitted to date. It even offered a matching frame to replace the original kitchen window. The old conservatory was down within hours and the new frame in place and glass fitted within a week. The fitting team were very professional and cheerful throughout. The build did hit a problem due in most part to supply shortages from the manufacturer as a result of COVID but once spotted the in house technical lead negotiated a solution and personally oversaw the final fit. Communications with realistic were good throughout and in truth the slight delay due to supply issues were not an issue under the circumstances. In summary we chose realistic as they were a local company who offered a personable service and a unique and bespoke quality product. The build team were all in house and evidently proud of their workmanship. Ryan’s experience and detailed knowledge gave genuine confidence that were getting what we wanted and not just an off the shelf design. A highly recommended and professional outfit.
