Some so called 'alternative' systems are often predominant timber with a thin aluminium foil exterior which still allows water to come in contact with the timber, lowering the life expectancy of the window.Unlike weaker alternatives, our system is mainly aluminium providing strength and durability where it is needed - in the locking and hinge areas. Any moisture or condensation reaching the glazing chamber cannot reach the internal timber due to the PVC thermal break. This thermal break limits cold air transferring to the timber and virtually eliminates any condensation forming.
The timber becomes an integral part of the system prior to final assembly connects both materials independently, catering for any differences in expansion. Preformed insulated foam is inserted around the sections to provide a lower U-value (a measure of thermal performance) to help comply with Building Regulations and making your home as comfortable as possible.
